Meghan J. McCormick Hoerner, Esquire
Meghan Hoerner has a wealth of knowledge and experience after spending more than two decades as a trial attorney. She has worked tirelessly for justice in the criminal courts of New Jersey and is ready to fight for your rights.
Meghan has handled landmark cases and held top leadership positions as a prosecuting trial attorney in the Cape May County Prosecutor’s Office. As the former Chief Assistant Prosecutor, Meghan supervised a unit of ten Assistant Prosecutors, while handling her own complex caseload. She succeeded in the largest white-collar criminal case in county history and received a guilty verdict from the jury after trial. She also served as the lead attorney for the county’s Gangs, Guns and Narcotics Task Force, where she supervised the investigation and prosecution of many undercover drug investigations. One of those investigations became a multi-jurisdictional wiretap prosecution where she succeeded after a full jury trial. She also worked as an Assistant Prosecutor in Cumberland County and an Assistant District Attorney at the Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office.
Over the years she has gained a reputation as a fair prosecutor and skilled trial attorney. She earned the highest designation possible to attorneys in the State when the NJ Supreme Court awarded her the title “Certified Trial Attorney.” The distinguished committee approved her for certification after reviewing her education, experience, and reputation as an attorney. Only a small percentage of attorneys in the State receive this kind of certification.
In addition to earning her J.D., she also earned her LLM in Taxation and passed her CPA certification test. She has handled complex financial crimes cases, wiretap investigations and prosecutions, and white collar crimes.
She knows exactly what law enforcement is allowed to do, and what is prohibited. She has spent more than ten years as an Adjunct Professor in Law and Justice at Rowan University, where she teaches and mentors college students. She also formerly taught Police Academy recruits in both Cape May and Vineland. In addition, her commitment to providing personal attention to each of her clients makes her the best choice as the attorney you need to make sure all of your constitutional rights are protected.
